Incidental ectopic tooth in the nasal cavity and maxillary sinus

Abstract

|
Ectopic tooth in nasal cavity is rarely and incidentally diagnosed during routine investigation. Treatment for an ectopic tooth is extraction and surgical removal via transoral approach or endoscopic approach. First case, a child who had complaint of right nasal cavity mass. This patient diagnosed ectopic tooth by computed tomography and had an operation. Second case, a man who had experienced maxillary reconstruction for trauma. This patient had done computed tomography for right facial soft mass evaluation. In computed tomography, he incidentally diagnosed an ectopic tooth in right maxillary sinus. He had an operation for removal. The authors report two cases of ectopic tooth found in child and in adult who is undergone reconstruction surgery after trauma.
